The Narration of Garment ~ حديث الكساء

Prophet Muhammad and Supreme Lady Fatima, Imam al Husan, Imam al Husain and then Imam Ali join…the narration of the garment. Alla’s Peace descended upon them and their Shia (followers, supporters and believers).
Listen…watch and make your REQUEST…May Allah exceed the arrival of Imam Mahdi and Prophet Isa.

Goody bags with respect for 21 winning #school #students participated in a #translation #contest

78 schools in Hungary wanted to take part in the contest but only 21 could do so because of the rules. I was eager to go the extra mile for the non-selected schools. Hence, they were offered the chance to organise an internal translation test parallel to the official contest: their students could translate the source text of their choice on contest day, their teachers sent in the translations they deemed the best – one per school – and I evaluated them. The students who prepared the very best translations and their teachers received goody bags. The other participating students and teachers were not left empty handed, each of them was given a T-shirt and a bag with the EDL logo. Teachers should be commended for giving their students the chance to experience what transforming a text written in one language into another feels like, while students ought to be applauded for volunteering to participate, knowing that they could not win the trip to Brussels. This shows true dedication by all involved.

Goody bags

On an exceptionally sunny day – 22 May – I was genuinely excited to meet SPECIAL special mention students from Poland and their teachers in Brussels! Seeing participants’ faces and talking to them gave me a great boost and inspired to work even harder for the project. My very best wishes to all these brilliant students – and I look forward to meeting up with their teachers for the next round of the contest … with a new group of students, equally passionate about reading, writing and maybe translating, too!
